Laura Chies holds a law degree from Pompeu Fabra University (2021).
She completed an internship at Barcelona City Council, focusing on administrative law (2019-2020). She also participated in the Swiss-EU Mobility international mobility programme at the University of Geneva (2021).
She then completed a Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the UPF Business School of Management (UPF-BSM) and passed the Bar Examination (2023).
In 2022, she began her professional career at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, specialising in Public Law and Regulated Sectors. She has been involved in defending the interests of companies and public entities, both in administrative proceedings and in judicial proceedings before the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.
Since February 2025, she has been part of the Tornos Abogados team, where she works as a solicitor specialising in Public Law and Public Procurement.
She has participated as a speaker in the ICAB Public Sector Procurement Course (2025).
She is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) and the Administrative Law section.
